123D Jax aims to teach kids basic CAD (computer aided design) skills with hands-on experience to create models of everyday objects. This is a series program that builds upon each week and is for children and teens, grades 4 through 12.
· Attendees will use Autodesk Tinkercad to create CAD designs.
· Tinkercad is a basic browser software that is free to use and easily accessible. Tinkercad is a beginner level modeling software that can be used to make a wide variety of objects from very basic objects to very detailed objects.
· Tinkercad can be accessed at www.tinkercad.com
· This is a beginner level course so we will use this simplified software as a primary source.
Requirements:
· Attendees should have basic knowledge of a computer and are able to navigate through one on their own.
· Attendees have mastered basic mathematical arithmetic (addition subtraction, multiplication, and division).
