Tap into your creative side and design a personal symbol inspired by the rich history of ancient Irish symbols and the artistic experience of an Irish-American illustrator.
We’ll look at the work of Irish-American illustrator, Tim O’Brien, and the influences he drew from when designing the cover of The Hunger Games. Then, inspired by what we learn about symbolism in Irish culture, you’ll have the opportunity to design and paint your own symbol that represents the “story” of your own life in some way.
For teens ages 12 – 18
Accommodations for persons with disabilities are available upon request. Please ask for the Special Needs Library at 630-2665 or email JPLTBSpecialNeeds@coj.net. This program is free and open to the public.
