If your child is into science, technology, engineering and math (or would they like to be), this is the time for them to shine. Read or talk through a STEM book with us and then we’ll do a STEM-based activity together.
Attention, Junior Scientists! This STEM-based program for K-2 features a book and science activities that encourage deep thinking, inquiry, and fun. This week’s exploration is called Lego Man in Space, based on the theme Space! We will make a balloon-powered space "rocket" modeled after a real-life experiment that sent a Lego man into the Earth's stratosphere. This exploration is based on the book Lego Man in Space by Mara Shaughnessy.
Each week we will use a variety of materials that you may have at home to explore a scientific concept. This week’s needed materials are:
Gather required Materials list:

· Milk or juice carton
· Straw
