Get ready to get creative! Junior Artists K-2 is a live art storytime program on Zoom designed specifically for children in third, fourth, and fifth grades. Each week, we read an exciting book and then create artwork based on our theme.
This week's theme is Funny Animals and we will be reading the story Elmer’s Walk by David McKee. It's available for immediate download from Hoopla using your library card.
Program materials are basic art supplies you likely have at home already, but you can pick up supplies from the library, if needed. Call your local library to schedule supply pickup. Supplies used for this week’s program are:
· White paper
· Animal print paper
· Construction paper
· Glue stick
· Not included in the kit: Scissors
Pick up a Junior Artist Take Home Kit and keep kids learning at home! They contain materials that will be used during the Junior Artist virtual programs.
