Does your child learn best with paint, paper, popsicle sticks and glue? Add in a book and some games and you’ve got the perfect program for your little artist.
Get ready to get creative! Junior Artists K-2 is a live art storytime program on Zoom designed specifically for children in Kindergarten, first, and second grades. Each week, we read an exciting book and then create artwork based on our theme.
This week's theme is Funny Animals and we will be reading the story Can You See Me? by Mikhala Lantz-Simmons. It's available for immediate download from Hoopla using your library card.
Program materials are basic art supplies you likely have at home already, but you can pick up supplies from the library, if needed. Call your local library to schedule supply pickup. Supplies used for this week’s program are:
· White paper
· Animal print paper
· Construction paper
· Glue stick
· Feathers
Pick up a Junior Artist Take Home Kit and keep kids learning at home! They contain materials that will be used during the Junior Artist virtual programs.
Registration is required for this event, and must be completed two hours prior to the start time. A library card is required for registration. If you do not have a card, click here to obtain a card.
