The Jacksonville Public Library and Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville (MOCA) collaborate to create the Art & Conversations Series! This series provides the community access to a rich set of resources by partnering educational library programs with a museum exhibition.

Join us for Art & Conversations, by registering for Lit Chat with Dylan Allen Thursday, May 20, at 7 pm. Author Dylan Allen will chat about her experiences with the romance genre with local romance author Brenda Jackson in connection with MOCA's current group exhibition, Romancing the Mirror.
Dylan Allen is a lawyer turned romance author. She published her first book on her 40th birthday and she quickly gained fans with her inspiring stories. Four years later, she is now the author of 10 published books and a Washington Post and USA Today Bestselling author. Outside of writing, Allen is also a world traveler, a wife, and a mother of two sons. She lives in Texas with her family.
Brenda Jackson is a Jacksonville native and the author of over 125 romance novels. Her professional writing career began in 1994. Since then, she became the first African-American author to have a book published by Harlequin Desire and the first African-American romance author to make the New York Times and USA Today bestseller lists within the series romance genre. Her writing has inspired countless romance writers and fans.
Registration is required for this event, and must be completed two hours prior to the start time.
